Congratulatory Messages

THE staff in my office can help you apply for a congratulatory message to be sent to yourself or someone you know who is about to celebrate a significant birthday or wedding anniversary.

If you wish to apply for a message please make sure you bring along a copy of the birth certificate or a copy of the wedding certificate, whichever is applicable. If you can't get a copy of these certificates, you will need to obtain a statutory declaration stating the full name of the recipients, their current address and the date of the birthday or wedding anniversary.

Please allow at least two weeks before the date of the birthday or wedding anniversary to ensure the message can arrive on time.

For more information on special congratulatory messages please visit www.itsanhonour.gov.au

Flags

LOCAL RSL clubs, schools and not-for-profit organisations can contact my office to organise an Australian flag. Eligible recipients include:

  • Schools, local councils, churches and other non-profit or benevolent community organisations, associations and groups which have occasion to display the flag from poles on their premises, or which display the flag on special occasions or in halls or meeting rooms.

  • Community organisations, Australian exchange students and humanitarian aid workers undertaking official visits or duties overseas; and

  • A family member or an ex-service organisation representative, for use at the funeral of an Australian war veteran.

To obtain a flag we ask that families or clubs contact our office on 3266 8244 with details.
